Edward Earl “Root” Epperson
President of Ever Green Team
Root is a lifelong avid hunter and outdoorsman. He grew up in Lunenburg County, Virginia and learned valuable lessons about farming and land management from his father “Epp”. Root attended Ferrum College and works in the infrastructure construction business. Root spends his spare time coaching youth sports and is a leader in his church and the community.
Joe Daigneau
Vice-President of Ever Green Team
“Joey D” lives in Virginia Beach and owns an environmental company that specializes in recreational access, GIS, environmental technology, and natural resources. Joey D attended Virginia Tech where he attained his Forestry & Wildlife degree, and also attended Penn State for his Master’s Degree in Geographical Information Systems. Joe has a passion for surfing, fishing, hunting, and traveling with his family.
Tom Inge
Secretary of Ever Green Team
Tom grew up in Kenbridge, Virginia and developed his passion for the outdoors from his father. Tom attended Virginia Military Institute where he obtained a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and then attended Virginia Tech where he attained a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering. He served as an officer in the Army and has worked for environmental consulting companies, the military, Virginia Tech, and now is the Executive Director of the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation. Tom enjoys coaching football, basketball, and baseball, and he is passing his love of the outdoors on to his four kids.
Jeff Gardner
Treasurer of Ever Green Team
Jeff grew up in Spotsylvania County, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Degree in Forestry & Wildlife. Jeff has extensive experience as a forester and land manager. He is currently the US Navy’s subject matter expert for natural resources, forestry and agriculture programs. When Jeff is not managing public lands, he is on the water fishing, hunting or working on his horse farm.
Jeff Jones
Board Member of Ever Green Team
Jeff is a professional biologist who has held important natural resource positions with the military, Virginia Tech, and the federal government. Jeff grew up in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland where he obtained a degree in Biology. Jeff served over 20 years in the US Air Force Reserves and traveled the world for National Security. Jeff has led statewide programs to revive the Bobwhite quail population and has managed endangered species programs for the military as well. Jeff enjoys camping, boating, and fishing with his family.
Bo Bishop
Board Member of Ever Green Team
Bo is from Starke, Florida where he spent his childhood fishing and playing golf. Bo attended the University of Florida and received a Bachelor Degree in Design and Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Building Construction. Bo moved to Virginia Beach in 2007 and has been employed by the Department of Defense, Naval Facilities where he manages military projects with a heavy consideration for environmental concerns such as abatement, contaminant remediation, and hazardous materials. Bo’s enjoys hunting, shooting, water sports, golfing, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Kandy Tanner
Office Manager
Kandy was born and raised in Lunenburg County, VA. Kandy grew up working on her family’s tobacco farm in Keysville. She received her Associates degree in Office Systems Technology from Southside Virginia Community College. Kandy has held several office supervisory and management positions over the last 30 years, and now Ever Green Team is fortunate to have her as their Office Manager. Kandy is an animal lover, an experienced fisherwoman, and a devoted family member and friend to everyone. She loves the outdoors and rural Virginia, and she is honored to help landowners save their family farms.
Sharon Flowers
Project Manager
Sharon was born and raised in Mecklenburg County, Va. Sharon received a degree from Southside Virginia Community College and has worked for a number of law firms in Southern Virginia. Sharon is the project manager for Ever Green, and she manages the easement projects from start to finish. She is also responsible for landowner outreach and corporate sponsorships. Sharon enjoys time with her family and traveling.
Benjamin Inge
Stewardship and Land Manager
Benjamin was born and raised in Nottoway County, Va. Benjamin received a degree in Natural Resources from Paul Smith College in New York. Benjamin worked as an intern for Ever Green for a year monitoring conservation easements. Now Benjamin has earned his position of Stewardship and Land Manager where he assists in document reviews, easement stewardship, monitoring, and land management. Benjamin is a passionate outdoorsman and spends his free time fishing, hunting, exploring, and boating. He has built an interest in guiding veterans and youth in outdoor adventures.
